—i was happier with you

flatsound:

i was happier with you
i used to go to sleep before the sun came up
but lately i’ve been thinking about us
and it’s just hard, it’s just hard, it’s just been difficult
to be out on your own with no goals laid out in front of you
something tells me that i was happier when you
told me what to do

i used to take the bus to go anywhere
now i can’t think of anywhere to go
we would sit at your house and talk about the future
only two years to go and we’d know what to do
with our lives if we stuck to the paths that we choose
with each other in mind, stick it out until the end
now i’m too scared to call just to see how you’ve been
something tells me that i was happier when you
told me what to do.

I know this song is super sad but its just so good.

MURDER CITY DEVILS-Every day I rise

NEW MURDER CITY DEVILS!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!

theindieplaylists:

Butch Walker And The Black Widows - Synthesizers

Don’t like the song as much as I like the video, pretty rad though.

Starfucker-Bury us alive

Oh mah Gawd! I haven’t heard a track this dancetastic in a really long time! Dreamy, refreshing, amazing. DRINK IT IN! Sorry for the short review I’m in a hurry but I’ll be posting more interesting shit on here soon!!!

NOT IN THE FACE-BRASS TACKS

I saw this band the other night at Antone’s in Austin TX and had my face melted off. I managed to only see their last four songs but it was totally worth the $7 bucks I payed to get in. Singer Jonathan Terrell sounds like he believes every goddamn word he’s saying while drummer Wes Cargal holds things together with his sludgy southern beats. This is just one of their stand out tracks, give um a listen I’m sure you will enjoy. For fans of  the kills, the raconteurs, the white stripes, drive by truckers.

Exclaim CA! Tera Melos Perform “Aped” and Get Interviewed

teramelos1:

Experimental rockers, Tera Melos, stopped by the Bloorcourt neighbourhood while they were in Toronto to treat us to a couple songs from their Exclaim!-approved 2010 album, Patagonian Rats.

Above, watch Tera Melos perform “Aped” while they fill us in on the songwriting process and some of the ideas that are floating around regarding future releases.

Be sure to watch Tera Melos’ performance of “Kelley”, here.

The only stuff you will ever see me reblog is Tera Melos’s goings on. They are the best thing I’ve heard recently and are insanely interesting.

This is the Test pressing for the Murder City Devils recently announced two song 7”. The songs are called “every day I rise” and “ball busters in the peanut gallery”.You can hear an ok sounding version of “Every day I rise” on youtube. I saw it live last week at Austins funfunfunfest and I am very excited.

Exclaim CA! Tera Melos In Studio “Kelley”

teramelos1:

“When we heard Sacramento, California psychedelic genre destroyers, Tera Melos, were in town we invited them to stop by and play a couple songs. The dimly lit Theatre of Human Health was the perfect environment for the guys to perform “Kelley” off their Exclaim! approved album, Patagonian Rats, with their freaky life-size Freddy hanging in the background.Keep an eye out for an interview with Tera Melos, coming soon to Exclaim! TV.”

Shannon and the clams-sleep talk

Sorry for the delay in post’s gang, I’ve had a ton of stuff going on. So I saw this band the other night and they completely blew my mind. They were incredibly tight and they sounded amazing live. Shannons voice is so classic and the whole vibe is fifties and sixties doo-wop. If you missed this show I feel bad for you.
